Overview
An overview of the concepts behind creating and using electronic markets.
HaggleDigital is an API platform for creating and operating electronic markets. An API is an Application Programming Interface that provides a collection of web-exposed functions. A client application or website can call these web-exposed functions and thereby extend its own functionality. In this way, the API allows a business to add electronic exchanges to its existing workflows without having to build its own exchange mechanisms.
With this API, your business can operate its own private electronic Markets. Authorised participants can submit Orders and negotiate Prices within a controlled Market. A Market owner determines who may discover, view, trade in, or administer that Market.

Core Concepts
The following sections explain the main concepts behind HaggleDigital electronic markets.
Markets and Tradeables
How a Market is created between two Tradeable Items. How Users are granted access through permissions.
Read moreOrders and Prices
Orders are instructions submitted by participants to buy or sell. The different order types available natively in the system are explained. Price data shows live Orders working in each Market.
Read moreSettlement
Trades between two Orders create Fills that can then be processed for Settlement. Settlement is outside the scope of HaggleDigital, keeping the system business- and product-agnostic, but Settlement progress can still be tracked.
Read moreCost Structure
Costs are proportional to usage, based on the number of Markets in use and the numbers of Orders and Fills processed through those Markets. A level of usage is free, allowing potential customers to explore production functionality without financial commitment.
